Waking up early in the morning can be really hard. Especially if you don’t want to go to school/college/work/etc.

And mornings are very important because they set the mood for the rest of the day.

So in this post, I’d like to share 8 tips that have been helping a lot to have better mornings:b

1 – plan your day the night before

Planning the tasks to do, a schedule, overall time for the day the night before will help you feel less overwhelmed & more ready.

I love writing in my journal 3 most important tasks and goals to accomplish. And then some smaller and not so crucial things.

So I just focus first on the 3 tasks and would be absolutely happy if everything I did that day was just these 3 things. Anything else is not that important.

If you go to school or work or wherever, preparing your bag, lunch, all the needed stuff will also keep you organized & prepared to go.

Overall, make sure your next day is well-planned & organized.


2 – think about the exciting things to look forward to

Find small reasons to be excited for.

Is it a tasty breakfast? Is it to see a friend you haven’t seen in a while? Is it just another step forward towards your dreams?

You can get thrilled to wake up earlier in the morning just to eat your favorite breakfast.

Or put on your new outfit that you cannot wait to show around.

Everything counts! Start noticing little joys in your life. Get excited as much as you can.

3 – get enough sleep

This is the most important tip. But I know not everyone can afford 8-9 hours of sleep.

But if you can, then start having it.

More often than not, we sit on our phones without any purpose until 2 am & then complain about the lack of sleep.

That is why it is important to have as many hours of rest as scientists recommend for the people of your age group.



4 – go to bed in an uplifted mood

I’ve noticed for myself such a pattern: if I go to bed in a great mood, I wake up feeling better than normal.

I usually love to watch a comedy show, repeat positive affirmations, listen to beautiful music, avoid social media, and any interactions with toxic people & things before going to sleep.

And I couldn’t feel any better after that:)

5 – stretch

Get your blood pumping as soon as you wake up. But avoid harsh movements, especially with the back.

Do a light workout, yoga, or just stretch.

Prepare your body for the day.



6 – stay mindful of your thoughts

Stay aware of your thoughts in the morning.

Avoid any toxic ones. Because they can ruin your day.

What you can do is to catch every bad thought, like comparing, overthinking, excess worrying. Then take a few deep breaths and let these thoughts go like bubbles.

Control your mind because it can sometimes be the reason why you’re feeling so down most of the time.

7 – repeat positive affirmations

I’ve talked about the power of positive affirmations in this post.

And to sum it up: affirmations help you transform your subconscious mind that is also known as an automatic machine that rules over your whole being.

It holds many patterns since you were born. And some of these patterns don’t serve you really well (e.g. the need to always defend yourself when you can just stay silent ’cause there’s no danger for you).



So repeating positive affirmations is like reprogramming a computer (your subconscious).

And in the morning your subconsciousness is more likely to transform.

That is why it will be beneficial for you if you start the morning with some nice thoughts, like:

  • I am abundant. I always have enough
  • I love myself. I cherish myself
  • I am confident in my capability
  • My success & happiness are inevitable

8 – think of the things you’re grateful for

As human beings, we are programmed to always want more. And that is why it is hard for us to focus on what we already have & are.

But it hasn’t made anyone happier yet.

So, try to be always appreciative for what you already have while working for something else.

Create a beautiful mind that is always happy with what it has.

Be grateful for everything, not only for your successes & material things.

Be thankful for the sun, a cup of coffee, having access to education, living at the same time with the lovely puppies and giraffes heheh.

The world around you is sooooo abundant!! Just look around & start to appreciate it more:D
