Hi, sunny! In this post, I talk about 9 gorgeous decor ideas for a motivating & inspiring study space!
I strongly believe that your study (or work) space should work for you and motivate you to get done more. And as a quite creative person, I crave inspiration from my surroundings.
So, I wanted to get some inspiration for you too – 9 things to have in your study space to make it inspire you!
Inspiration wall speaks for itself – it brings you inspiration. Basically, it’s a collage of pictures, quotes, and photos that spark joy in you and keep you going.
It doesn’t have to be all fancy. Create your aesthetic (or steal some ideas here heheh).
You can simply glue pictures to the wall or with scotch tape. Or… get something better!
Hang on it also some shelves, fairy lights, calendars, notes, anything your heart desires! Here’s some other pretty ones (tap on the pic):
Where to get aesthetic pictures and patterns? There are lots of ways. One of them is Pinterest. Just simply find the right picture (and I promise you, you’ll find it) and print it.

But there are also LOTS of pretty illustrations from professional artists on Creative Market. I’ve already mentioned this amazing website in my post about 20 Lightroom presets for an aesthetic Instagram feed.

A cute little cactus at the corner of the desk is, well, cute haha. Small plants in pots create this really gorgeous atmosphere as for me. Doesn’t matter if it’s artificial or alive.
But I always love alive greenery more. Because I feel like a plant mom that has to take care of her little “kids” (if that makes any sense lmao). But faux plants aren’t any less adorable. Here are some that I’m loving (and you’ll too;) :

Ahh, I love candles. Especially, if they fit the aesthetic of the space and create a relaxing and loving atmosphere.
But, hey! We don’t need any relaxation while we work or study, right?! Yeah. So to help you fully focus on a task there are a few smells to look for in candles for your study space.
- lemon – for a more positive mood; uplifts, invigorates and refreshes.
- Basil – decreases anxiety, increases mental clarity
- ylang ylang – improves focus and concentration by first calming you down
With a basic lamp on a desk, the atmosphere is not that creative as with a really pretty lamp.
Even if you don’t need any creativity while you study or work, an adorable piece of light will sit there near you and will remind you that there’s light inside you too and you have a purpose. It always motivates me tbh haha.
Gemstones & crystals
Gemstones are breathtaking!! There’s so many kinds, colors, and shapes of them, it’s incredible! Some of them even have healing qualities. Put some near you on your study space to have the power and motivation to get done your work!
Writing small pep-talks or notes to yourself can be really motivating, or at least create that perfect studying/working atmosphere.
Just simply take a piece of paper, write your mini-super-inspiring speech and hang it on your inspo wall.
Fairy lights are not only for Christmas anymore and that’s why we love them. Why not hang them around your desk, wall and make this pretty aesthetic that you’ll want to spend more time being there (and really study the heck out of you lmao)?
But, here are some adooooorable fairy lights:
A pretty pen holder can do miracles to an overall style of your place. And most of the time, I would go for not really vibrant cups but pastel ones (see down below).
They have something simple but elegant in them.
Having the whole month with days and goals where you can perfectly and pretty always see them can make you more focused on your tasks.

Yes, I do believe that surroundings can influence your success. But actually, what really matters is the work you do in your studying space. So keep it clean, keep it aesthetic, and keep up the good job!
Wish you good grades and easy work!
