Hi, sunny! In this post, I want to share with you 5 tips on how to be more organized and what can help you to stay so!
use a planner/bullet journal
This is the most basic but super important thing that keeps you organized. Duh.
But let’s not underestimate the power of a good planner.
It’s your best friend in mastering the art of being organized.
What to keep and write in your planner:
- monthly/weekly/daily to-do list
- monthly/weekly/daily goals
- habit tracker (keep up with and track your new habits)
- random notes and thoughts that pop into your head and you don’t want to forget them
- important dates and events
- preparation lists
- steps to take to achieve a goal
How to plan better:
- set deadlines
- plan a day the day before
- try to plan your next week every weekend (I love doing it on Sunday. Write on a piece of paper all the tasks and goals you have for the week. Then divide them into smaller tasks if possible and decide on which days to do them)
- don’t overload your days and yourself
- write more details
- highlight/outline more important things
Writing to-do lists on random papers is great. But it’s much better to have all your listings in one place.

keep everything in the right place
Keep all your stuff where it needs to be. Put similar objects together.
It is much easier to find something when everything is in the right place and is organized.
To make it feel put together write a list where you should keep your stuff (e.g. “school textbooks and highlighters are in the second drawer”).
Also, you can try color-coding.
Have your clothes of the same color together. Plus stationery, books, and anything you want.
When everything is in the right place, it will help you remain focused and organized.
follow the routine
Plan your routine in a way that will work the best for you. Think if it serves you.
Write down what you’d like to do at that particular time of the day.
For example, I’ve set for myself such morning routine:
- get up & stretch
- all the hygiene stuff
- 8 or 9 am – reading
- 10 am – learning a foreign language
- 11 am – doing homework
- 12 pm – working on my blog
Of course, I don’t get it all done perfectly. Sometimes I’m being late. Sometimes too early. And very often I just don’t wanna do it.
But at least I have a plan which works for me.
Write a routine like that for yourself too. It will help you a lot, I promise.
You’ll be more organized when you have a clear sense of what you need to do next and at what time.
Blank calendars are another way to help you be more organized.
I love hanging it on the wall with all the dates for my future posts, all the upcoming events, reminders, and some school stuff.
There’s a sense of feeling ready for the month when actually I’m not hah.
But also, I have a lot of calendars in my planner. Like A LOT. It comes to the point when I just remember on which day of the week comes a certain day lmao.
But what’s important is that it actually helps.
Get rid of all unnecessary things regularly. Keep your space clean.
Tidy up your room. Let the fresh air in.
It is hard, at least for me, to feel like everything is together when there’s a mess around me.
So, every week or month plan a certain day when you get everything clean and tidy.
I promise you’ll feel more motivated and organized in such conditions.
You do not need to have the amazing Virgo energy to be perfectly organized. You just need a good planner and some effort;)
