School is almost here. But as I’m writing this, CoVid-19 is still thriving, so we don’t really know if we will actually go to school in September here in my country.
If you’re not sure either, that’s still important to be prepared for this new study year.
In this post, I have gathered the most essential things that every high school girl should have.
I also have mentioned some additional things and ideas to have with you. They are absolutely NOT necessary if you don’t need or want it. They’ll be marked with this sign: *
The post is divided into 3 parts:
- things to have in your backpack
- and things to have at home for a better studying experience.
Sooo let’s get to the post!!
~ water bottle
It is important to always stay hydrated. So invest in a good water bottle to have it with you at school.
You can get the one that keeps water cold/hot even after lots of time has passed. Like this:
This vacuum-insulated bottle will keep your drinks chilled for 24 hours and hot for 12.
And its cool design makes sure that it is easy for you to carry around at school.
~ lunch box
Of course this the most important thing to have in your backpack. Because it’s fooood!!
Even when you have the main meal at school, it’s still cool to have some sandwiches or fruits/veggies with you, yk ~just because~ hahah
~ period necessities
This is a must-have. And I’m serious.
Periods are unpredictable. You never know that it might start today, 5 days before expected.
Or you think that the flow will be light for the rest of the day and you have only 1 pad. And your period will be like: no, I changed my mind, today we’re Niagara Falls honey.
And you maybe know this desperate feeling of pain while being in class and you can do nothing about it, only run away (but it’s still not a good idea lol).
So you just HAVE to be prepared. And here’s the list of the things you need to have in your bag always!!:
- 3-5 pads (+tampons if you use them)
- 3 panty liners
- pain reliever
- extra pair of underwear
- feminine wipes
~ makeup* (optional)
If you wear makeup, you should have some products with you when you need it. It can be a mascara, a mini foundation, lipstick, etc.
Get a travel/smaller size of these products if available.
Plus, have a lip balm/lip gloss to avoid your lips looking unmoisturized and dry.
~ a small mirror
Have a little mirror in your bag’s pocket.
Yes, I know you have a frontal phone camera, but mirrors sometimes are much better.
~ a small size perfume
This is for those who want to smell like a SnAcK throughout the day.
Get a mini/travel size of your favorite (and matching with the one you’re wearing at that moment) fragrance.
~ a small size lotion/body mist* (optional)
You can put in your bag a little lotion/mist to have a nice scent flowing from you heheh~~~~~~

We all know how awkward it can be having a not so fresh breath. So make sure you have a gum or mint with you to avoid it.
~ charger/power bank
It is better to charge your phone during the night before school.
But if you didn’t have the chance to or forgot, have a charger or a power bank with you to not let your phone die in the middle of the day.
~ laptop/iPad* (if you need it at school)
~ USB flash drive*
It’s a little thing but very helpful at some moments.
You might need to save something important on it, or use documents/projects/presentations that are stored there.
~ hand wipes
You need them, trust me.
And this too:)
~ face wipes* (optional)
These are needed if you wear makeup to school.
~ tide to go stick* (optional)
I don’t know if we have this in my country, but I heard it is helpful when you need to get rid of stains.
~ dry tissues
Have a pack of these ones with the wet wipes. They are always needed!
~ a mask* (if you’re reading this and corona virus still exists lol)
~ wallet with extra cash
You should always have some extra money with you ($5-20) ’cause you never know when you’ll need them.
Also, have a card, ID with you (if you think you might need them)
To avoid some awkwardness ~~
~ hand cream* (optional)
You should have a small hand cream in case your hands get dry often.
~ a mini hair brush
Of course, you’ll need them;)
~ bobby pins + hair ties
For unpredictable situations.
~ oil absorbent sheets* (optional)
Have these if it’s hot where you live.

~ a wall calendar* (optional)
~ good lighting
Make sure you have a good lighting at home while studying.
~ pen holder
Keep your pens, pencils, and highlighters organized.
~ a stapler
If you need to “stapler” some papers.
~ study playlist
Get a new playlist for studying. Keep the songs neutral, not too loud to keep you focused.
To have everything on its place:)
~ washi tape* (optional)
Some cute washi tape will make your notes look super cool!
~ clear tape
Keep lots of paper for notes, printing, and other important stuff:)
